"Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed speaking unto Moses that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen." Acts 7:44

The Tabernacle is a witness of Jesus.  Every thing in the Tabernacle complex centers around the Tabernacle "Tent", which is symbolic of Jesus.  

This lesson is about the boards placed under the "Tent" and it's symbolic meaning.

1. The boards are placed under the Tabernacle in the shape of a rectangle with only three sides; North side, South Side and West side.  

A. How many boards are on the North side?  

(Exodus 26:20 And for the second side of the tabernacle on the north side there shall be twenty boards:)

B. How many boards are on the South side?  

(Exodus 26:18 And thou shalt make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards on the south side southward.)

C. How many boards are on the West side?    (Exodus 26:22 And for the sides of the tabernacle westward thou shalt make six boards.)

D. How many corner boards?  

(Exodus 26:23 And two boards shalt thou make for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides.)

2. The boards are made of  wood.

(Exodus 26:15 And thou shalt make boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood standing up.)

3. Each board is overlaid with .  

(Exodus 26:29 And thou shalt overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars: and thou shalt overlay the bars with gold.)

4. Each board has two tenons and are set in two sockets of .

(Exodus 26:19 And thou shalt make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons.)

5. Each board is  cubits long.  

(Exodus 26:16 Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and a cubit and a half shall be the breadth of one board.)

6. Each board is  cubit wide.

7. Each cubit equals 18 inches.  Multiply the number of cubits in the length of a board by 18 and divide by 12 and each board is  feet long.

8. Each cubit equals 18 inches.  Multiply the number of cubits in the width of a board by 18 and divide by 12 and each board is  feet and  inches wide.

9. The bars are made of  wood.

(Exodus 26:26 And thou shalt make bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,)

10. The bars are overlaid with .  

(Exodus 26:29 And thou shalt overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars: and thou shalt overlay the bars with gold.)

11. Each board has two rings made of  for the bars to go through.

12. There are  bars for each side.

(Exodus 26:26-28 And thou shalt make bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,

27  And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the two sides westward.

28  And the middle bar in the midst of the boards shall reach from end to end.)

13. The middle bar on each side is to  through the boards from one end to the .  (Exodus 36:33 And he made the middle bar to shoot through the boards from the one end to the other.)

14. Since the middle bar goes through the center of each board, it is hidden, and that leaves  bars on the outside of each side and with three sides that gives a total of  bars.

15. The 12 bars on the outside are symbolic of the 12  of the Lamb.

(Revelation 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.)

16. The one bar that goes through the center of the boards is symbolic of the   .  

(1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?)

17. The boards and bars under the Tabernacle are symbolic of the local church which is the building  framed together groweth unto an holy  in the Lord.  

(Ephesians 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord)
