The first
morning that God gave the children of Israel bread, they did not know what it
was.
It was something they had
never seen before.
It was like a coriander seed,
which is 3/16 of an inch in diameter (3-5 mm).
It was the color of white as
the color of bdelium.
Webster's New Collegiate
Dictionary defines bdellium as "a gum or resin, a precious stone, or a
pearl".
Therefore it was round (3/16
of an inch in diameter) like a pearl, sticky and white. When they saw it,
they said "What is it?".
They called the bread, manna.
The Hebrew word, manna, means "What is it?".
1. The bread that God rained
down from heaven was a small thing.
(Exodus 16:14 And when
the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there
lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.)
to question 1.

hoar frost on the ground.)

3. The bread that God rained

(Exodus 16:31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and

to question 3.
4. The bread that God rained

(Exodus 16:31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and

to question 4.
5. The bread that God rained
down from heaven was as the color of .
(Numbers 11:7 And the manna was as coriander seed, and the colour

6. When the people saw the
bread that God rained down from heaven they called it which
in the Hebrew language means, "What is it?". (Exodus 16:15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one
to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses
said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.)
to question 6.
Note: I took the following
picture, which I staged with white beads (3/16 of an inch in diameter) upon the
dew in grass. This picture gives you an idea of what manna would look like. When the manna would fall it would be very deep as in this picture.
