I. Promise to Abraham compared to the stars. Genesis 15:5-6

    A. The seed is Jesus. Galatians 3:16

II. Let's look at the stars in relationship to believers.

    A. God knows the number of the stars and their names, Psalm 147:4

       1. God knows them that are his. 2 Timothy 2:19

       2. God knows your name. John 10:3

    B. God ordained the stars. Psalm 8:3

       1. God ordained us to bear fruit. John 15:16

    C. The stars are to praise God. Psalm 148:3

       1. We are to praise God. Hebrews 13:15

    D. Stars are a light by night. Jeremiah 31:35

       1. We are to shine as lights in the night of sin. Philippians 2:15

    E. The star led the wise men to Jesus. Matthew 2:9-10

       1. We are to lead others to Jesus. Daniel 12:3

    F. Stars not pure. Job 25:5

       1. We have sinned. 1 John 1:8-10

    G. Let the Day Star arise in your heart. 2 Peter 1:19

       1. Be born again. John 3:3
