Lesson 1

The Physical Bible

This course is to introduce you to the physical Bible.  The word Bible means "book". The physical Bible contains 66 books.

 

Get your Bible and look at the table of contents and you will see that the books are divided into two sections.

 

1. The first section is titled the  Testament.   

2. The second section is titled the  Testament.  

3. Count the number of books in the Old Testament and there are  books.  

4. Count the number of books in the New Testament and there are  books.

5. The first book of the Bible is .  The last book of the Bible is .

You will find that the books are divided into different sections called chapters. Each chapter is divided into different sections called verfses.

 

6. In the book of Genesis in chapter 1 there are  verses.

7. In the book of Genesis in chapter 2 there are  verses.

When you want to find a certain part of the Bible, you give the reference as Genesis 1:23. That means chapter 1, verse 23.

Now find the book, chapter and verse and fill in the missing words of the following:

8. In Genesis 6:8 "But found grace in the eyes of the Lord."  

9. In Exodus 15:18 "The  shall reign for ever and ever."

10. In Psalms 106:6 "We have  with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly."

11. In Psalms 32:5 "I acknowledged my  unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou  the iniquity of my sin."

12. In Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is ; but the  of God is eternal life through Christ our Lord."

13. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,that whosoever in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

14. In Romans 10:8 "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of  which we preach;"  

15.In Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt  with thy  the Lord Jesus, and shalt .  in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be."  

16. In Romans 10:10 "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the  confession is made unto "
