II. Is God in control?

A. By the events of the world God is preparing for judgment. Amos 4:6-12

1. Repent and be used for God. 2 Timothy 2:21

B. Or by the events of the world God is preparing us for a special task or to be able to reign during the 1,000 years reign of Christ (Joseph).

1. Joseph was to be a great ruler. Genesis 37:10

2. Joseph's brothers put him in a pit to kill him. Genesis 37:19-20

3. Joseph was sold in slavery. Genesis 37:25-28

4. In Egypt, Potiphar bought him. Genesis 39:1-2

5. Joseph put in prison. Genesis 39:20-21

6. Joseph now a great ruler. Genesis 41:39-40

a. That is not the good part....

7. Joseph was used to save his family and the future nation of Israel. Genesis 50:18-20, 24
