Lucifer becoming the Devil



NOTE: The account of how Lucifer became the Devil is found hidden in two passages of scriptures:
Isaiah 14:9-19, a proverb against the king of Babylon and in
Ezekiel 28:12-17 a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus.

1. Before Lucifer became the Devil, he was the anointed that the Earth.

Ezekiel 28:14 "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire."

2. Lucifer was in his ways from the day that he was until he sinned.

Ezekiel 28:15 "Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee."

NOTE: The precious stones indicate his priestly duties, his pipes indicate his ability to sing and talk in leading others to worship God.

NOTE: Some of the heavenly host and angels were here on the earth during Lucifer’s reign before his fall.

7. Could the dinosaurs have lived during the time before the fall of Lucifer, because at the fall of Lucifer all life came to an abrupt end?

NOTE: When Lucifer and the angels that followed him fell, Lucifer became the Devil without a physical body and the angels became disembodied spirits. This is why they must posses a body to function in this physical world.

9. When God created the Earth in Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth”, did He create it in vain?

NOTE: The reason for the unusual order of the restoration in Genesis 1:3-2:3 is to reveal the plan of salvation.

I. On the first day there was darkness. Genesis 1:2
A. Darkness is symbolic of sin. John 3:19-21

B. The wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23
C. Jesus would die for our sins. Romans 5:6

III. On the third day, God calls for the grass, with herb yielding seed, and the fruit trees, which is Spring. Genesis 1:9-13
A. Spring is symbolic of new life, resurrection. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
B. Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose the third day.
C. We must be born again. John 3:3, 16

IV. On the fourth day, God calls forth the lights of heaven to shine. The lights are for signs, seasons, days, and years Genesis 1:14-19
A. Lights in heaven are to guide us as God’s word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Psalms 119:105

V. On the fifth day God calls for and creates sea life, and birds. Genesis 1:20-25
A. Substance for daily living.
B. God’s care for us.

VI. On the sixth day the Holy Trinity created man in their image. Genesis 1:26-28
A. Fellowship with God. God’s family as the results of salvation through Jesus.

VII. On the seventh day God rested. Genesis 2:1-3.
A. Our rest is in Heaven.
