1 Samuel 1


I. Elkanah and his wives. Vs. 1-8

    A. Hannah who was childless. Vs. 1-2

    B. Peninnah who had children. Vs. 2

    C. Elkanah takes all his family to worship the Lord in Shiloh. Vs. 3-5

    D. Peninnah would taunt Hannah because she did not have any children. Vs. 6-7

    E. Hannah wept because she was childless. V. 7-8

II. Hannah’s prayer and vow. Vs. 9-18

    A. Hannah mouths the words of her prayer without any sound. Vs. 13

    B. Hannah prayed that if God would give her a son, she would give him to serve the Lord all of his life. Vs. 11-12

    C. Eli the priest saw Hannah praying and thought she was drunk. Vs. 13-15

    D. Hanna told Eli that she was praying and Eli told her that her prayer would be answered. Vs. 16-18
