Acts 14


I. Paul and Barnabas at Iconium. Vs. 1-5

    A. They preached in the synagogue. Vs. 1

    B. There was opposition by the Jews. Vs. 2-4

    C. The Jews and Gentiles wanted to stone them. Vs. 5

II. Paul and Barnabas go to Lystra and Derbe. Vs. 6-7

    A. They fled unto Lystra and Derbe and peached also in that region.

III. Paul and Barnabas at Lystra. Vs. 8-20

    A. The healing of a lame man. Vs. 8-10

    B. The people thought they were gods. Vs. 11-18

       1. Barnabas was named Jupiter. Vs. 12

       2. Paul was named Mercurius. Vs. 12

       3. Paul tried to persuade the people that they were not gods. Vs. 14-18

       4. The Jews from Antioch and Iconium had Paul stoned. Vs. 19

       5. They took Paul out of the city thinking he was dead, but he got up and went back into the city. Vs. 19-20

IV. Paul and Barnabas at Derbe. Vs. 20-21

V. Paul and Barnabas returns to Antioch in Syria. Vs. 21-28

    A. They left Derbe and went back to Lystra, then to Iconium, and Antioch. Vs. 21

    B. They encouraged the disciples, ordained elders in every church, and prayed with fasting. Vs. 22-23

    C. They preached throughout Pisidia. Vs. 24

    D. They preached in Perga. Vs. 25

    E. They went down to Attalia and caught a boat to Antioch in Syria. Vs. 26

    F. They gave a report of their first missionary journey at the church in Antioch. Vs. 27-28
