Mystery of the Faith Lesson 9
The Battle of Armageddon
There were things taught about
this "faith" which they did not understand (a "mystery").
They did not understand (a "mystery") that Jesus would come, be
born of a virgin, but would be rejected, crucified, buried, and raised the
third day. They did not understand (a "mystery") that Jesus
would ascend to heaven and return at a later time to set up his political
kingdom as promised to Abraham.
They did not understand (a
"mystery") that Jesus would return as a thief in the night and the
born again believers would be taken out, Raptured. Then a period of great
tribulation would follow on the earth for seven years, to purge and prepare the
Israeli nation for the 2nd coming of Jesus to be their King and Savior.
At the end of the tribulation period Jesus, with all of his saints, would
return and he would conquer the satanic trinity and the nations of the world,
and rule for 1,000 years as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The satanic trinity will try to stop Jesus from returning to the earth at a
place called Armageddon. There will be a battle between the armies of
Jesus and the armies of Satan, known as the battle of Armageddon.
1. After the marriage of the Lamb, John saw heaven .
(Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he
that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he
doth judge and make war.)

fire burning with brimstone.

worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning
with brimstone.)

10. When this battle is over, the Devil is bound and cast into the pit for a years.

serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and
shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no
more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be
loosed a little season.)

which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them

13. Will Satan be the king of hell or tormented in hell?

up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and
the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire
and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be
tormented day and night for ever and ever.)

14. Will the earth be destroyed at this time?

them.)
