Mystery of the Faith Lesson 10 Judgment for Salvation There were things taught about
this "faith" which they did not understand (a "mystery").
They did not understand (a "mystery") that Jesus would come, be
born of a virgin, but would be rejected, crucified, buried, and raised the
third day. They did not understand (a "mystery") that Jesus
would ascend to heaven and return at a later time to set up his political
kingdom as promised to Abraham. At the first coming of Jesus
he would satisfy the judgment for sin by his death on the cross and the
shedding of his blood. The judgment for salvation is a continuing thing in that
all are condemned already and each individual must come before the Judge, plead
guilty and ask for mercy through the blood of Jesus. This judgment is
going on at all times.
