Chapter II

The Development-Sinews

On November 2, 1964, the Israelis published a stamp with the picture of an immigrant ship nearing at night the coastline of Israel, and quoted in Hebrew and English on the stamp’s tab is Numbers 14:44 “But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp.”

On August 16, 1967, the Israelis published a postage stamp with the picture of ships returning to Israel and quoted in Hebrew and English on the tab of the stamp is Isaiah 43:2 “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

This stamp illustrates the fulfillment of this prophecy that God is with them as he brings them back to the land in ships.

On April 24, 1968, the Israelis published two stamps showing the return and settlement of the Jews in Israel.
