In the Bible there are recorded events of angels.  In many of these events the Bible does not describe how an angel appears or what shape or form the angel might have.  There are a few events that give some description of what shape that angel might have and how he appeared to mankind.

1. The angel that appeared to Moses took the shape of a of .

Exodus 3:2 "And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed."

Numbers 22:22-23 "And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Colossians 1:16 "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:"

Angels can move from the invisible to the visible world or from the visible to the invisible world.  They can have objects such as swords, chariots and horses that can also be taken from the invisible to the visible world or go from the visible to the invisible.  The invisible world is just as real as the visible.
