A. Abraham goes to Gerar. Genesis 20:1 B. King Abimelech takes Sarah, whom Abraham said was his sister. Genesis 20:2 C. Abimelech is rebuked of God in a dream. Genesis 20:3-7 1. Abraham put Sarah in jeopardy twice: in Egypt, Genesis 12:10-20, and in Gerar, Genesis 20. 2. As Sarah obeyed Abraham both times, she trusted God to deliver her. B. Will we trust God or protect ourselves, when it looks as if in obeying God, things might not go well or there is danger ahead? C. Abraham tried to protect himself, but Sarah just trusted God to protect her.
