B. Joseph takes Manasseh and Ephraim and visit Israel. Vs. 1-2
C. Israel assures Joseph of God’s promise. Vs. 3-4
D. Israel now considers Ephraim and Manasseh as his two sons,
equal with Reuben, Simeon and the other brothers. Vs. 5-6
E. Israel tells Joseph that Rachel, his mother, died and was buried

II. Israel blesses Ephraim and Manasseh. Vs. 8-22
A. Joseph brings Ephraim and Manasseh before Israel for his
blessings. Vs. 8-12
B. Joseph sets Ephraim on the left side of Israel, so that Israel
might put his left hand on Ephraim, since he is the youngest.

C. Joseph sets Manasseh on the right side of Israel, so that Israel
might put his right hand on Manasseh, since he is the oldest.

D. Israel put his right hand on Ephraim and his left hand on
Manasseh. Vs. 14

F. Joseph tries to get Israel to change hands, but Israel refuses.

H. Israel told Joseph that God would take him back to the land of
