A. Saul wanted his servants and Jonathan to kill David. Vs. 1 B. Jonathan told David to hide until he has talked with Saul. Vs. 2-3 C. Jonathan intercedes for David with Saul. Vs. 4-5 D. Saul agrees with Jonathan that he will not kill David. Vs. 6 E. David is brought back to Saul. Vs. 7 II. Saul seeks to kill David. Vs. 8-24 A. There was another war, and David defeated the Philistines. Vs. 8 B. An evil spirit from God came upon Saul. Vs. 9 1. Saul tried to kill David with a javelin, and David escaped. Vs. 10 C. Saul sent messengers to David’s house. Vs. 11 D. Michal, David’s wife, let him down through a window. Vs. 11-12 E. Michal put an image in the place of David in his bed. Vs. 13-14 F. Saul wanted the bed to be brought to him that he might kill David. Vs. 14-17 G. David went to Samuel and told him all that happened. Vs. 18 H. Saul sends three groups of messengers to find David. Vs. 19-21 1. Each group meets the prophets and start praising God and prophesying that David will be king. I. Saul goes to find David. Vs. 22-24 1. Saul meets the prophets and start praising God and prophesying.
