I. The conversion of Saul. Vs. 1-18
A. Saul wants to threaten and slaughter the Christians. Vs. 1
B. Saul goes to the high priest. Vs. 1-2
1. For Letters of authority to the synagogues of Damascus.
2. To arrest the Christians and bring them back to Jerusalem.
C. A light from heaven shined round about him near Damascus.

1. Saul fell to the earth. Vs. 4
D. Jesus spoke to Saul in an audible voice from heaven. Vs. 4-7
1. Jesus asks Saul why he was persecuting him. Vs. 4-5
2. Saul wanted to know what Jesus wanted him to do. Vs. 6
E. Jesus told Saul to go to Damascus and he would be told what to
do. Vs. 6
F. The men with Saul heard the voice but saw no one. Vs. 7
G. When Saul stood up, he was blind. Vs. 8
H. Saul was three days in Damascus blind and would not eat or
drink. Vs. 9
I. God spoke to Ananias. Vs. 10-16
1. He was to go to the house of Judas on Straight street and ask
for Saul of Tarsus for he is praying. Vs. 11
2. Saul has seen a vision of Ananias putting his hand on him and
he receives his sight. Vs. 12
3. Ananias reminds the Lord how evil Saul has been. Vs. 13-14
4. Ananias is told that Saul is a chosen vessel of the Lord.
Vs. 15-16
a. Saul will witness before the Gentiles, kings, and Israel.
b. Saul will be persecuted as he serves Christ.
J. Ananias obeys God and goes to Saul. Vs. 17
1. Ananias puts his hands on Saul and he receives his sight.
2. Saul is filled with the Holy Ghost.
K. Saul is baptized. Vs. 18
II. Saul testifies in Damascus. Vs. 19-22
A. Saul preached in the Synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.
Vs. 19-20
B. Those who heard Saul were amazed. Vs. 21
C. Saul increased in strength and proved that Jesus is the Christ.
Vs. 22
III. Saul was taught the Mystery of the Faith. Vs. 23
A. “And after that many days were fulfilled.” Vs. 23
1. “Fulfilled” meant that there had to be some time determined
by God in teaching Saul the Mystery of the Faith.
B. Saul was taught the Mystery of the Faith by special revelation while in Arabia for three years.
Ephesians 3:1-4, Galatians 1:11-17
C. A man in Christ who would go back and forth to third heaven,
taught Saul the Mystery of the Faith. 2 Corinthians 12:1-6,
Galatians 1:11-12, Ephesians 3:3
D. After three years in Arabia, Saul returns to Damascus.

IV. Saul escapes to Jerusalem. Vs. 23-28
A. The Jews took counsel to kill Saul. Vs. 23
1. They waited at the gates day and night to try to kill him.
B. Saul knew about the plot of the Jews to kill him.
C. The disciples used a basket to let Saul down over the wall at
night. Vs. 25
D. Saul goes to Jerusalem. Vs. 26
E. The disciples at Jerusalem did not believe that Saul was a
disciple of the Lord. Vs. 26
F. Barnabas testified that Saul was a disciple of the Lord. Vs. 27
G. Saul then was with the disciples going in and out of Jerusalem.
Vs. 28
V. Saul escapes to Caesarea and then to Tarsus. Vs. 29-30
A. Saul preached and taught boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus.

B. The Grecians went about to slay him. Vs. 29
C. The disciples took Saul to Caesarea and then to Tarsus. Vs. 30
VI. The churches had rest and were multiplied. Vs. 31
VII. Peter goes to Lydda. Vs. 32-35
A. Aeneas was sick with the palsy for eight years. Vs. 33
B. Peter told Aeneas that Jesus Christ has made him whole and he
was to get up and make his bed. Vs. 34
C. Because of the testimony of Aeneas, people at Lydda and Saron
turned to the Lord. Vs. 35
VIII. Peter goes to Joppa and Dorcas is restored to life. Vs. 36-43
A. In Joppa a disciple named Tabitha (Dorcas) died. Vs. 36-37
1. She was full of good works and charity.
2. She made coats and garments.
B. Peter goes to Dorcas, prays and says “Tabitha arise”, and she
opened her eyes and sat up. Vs. 38-40
C. Peter presented her alive. Vs. 41
D. Many people believed in the Lord. Vs. 42
E. Peter stayed in Joppa with Simon, a tanner. Vs. 43
