I. Peter is rebuked by the Jewish Christians. Vs. 1-18
A. Peter told them about the vision he had in Joppa. Vs. 1-10 1. Peter was taught that what God had cleansed, he was not to call common. Vs. 9 B. Peter told them about the vision Cornelius had in Caesarea. Vs. 11-14 C. Peter told them about the Holy Ghost falling on the Gentiles. Vs. 15-17 D. The church came to the conclusion that “God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.” Vs. 18 II. The church in Antioch. Vs. 19-30 A. Some of the Christians in Jerusalem were scattered because of the persecution of Stephen. Vs. 19 1. They went as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the Word unto the Jews only. B. Some of the Christians that were of Cyprus and Cyrene preached Jesus to the Grecians at Antioch. Vs. 20-21 1. A great number believed and turned unto the Lord. Vs. 21 C. When the church at Jerusalem heard about this, they sent Barnabas to check it out as far as Antioch. Vs. 22-23 1. Barnabas was excited when he saw the grace of God in the different places. Vs. 23 2. Barnabas exhorted them to cleave unto the Lord. Vs. 23 3. Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Ghost and of faith. Vs. 24 4. Many were added unto the Lord. Vs. 24 D. Barnabas went to Tarsus to find Saul. Vs. 25 E. Barnabas and Saul went back to Antioch and taught the people for one year. Vs. 26 F. The disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Vs. 26 G. Prophets from Jerusalem came to Antioch. Vs. 27 H. The Prophet Agabus spoke by the Holy Spirit, and said that there would be a great famine. Vs. 28 I. The church at Antioch sent relief to the Christians in Judea by Barnabas and Saul. Vs.29-30
