Acts 26


I. Paul speaks before king Agrippa. Vs. 1-26

    A. King Agrippa had a good knowledge of the customs of the Jews. Vs. 1-3

    B. Paul was persecuted by the Jews for something which they themselves believed. Vs. 4-7

       1. The hope of the promise made to Abraham. Vs. 6-7

    C. It is not incredible that God should raise the dead. Vs. 8

    D. At first Paul persecuted the follower of Jesus of Nazareth. Vs. 9-11

    E. Paul testifies of his conversion. Vs. 12-18

       1. Paul’s calling and purpose. Vs. 16-18

    F. Paul was obedient to his calling. Vs. 19-20

    G. Paul indicated he had taught what Moses said would come. Vs. 22-23

       1. “That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.” Vs. 23

    H. Festus said in a loud voice, “Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.” Vs. 24

    I. The king knows these things, for nothing was done secretly. Vs. 25-26

II. King Agrippa’s response to Paul. Vs. 27-32

    A. Paul asked king Agrippa if he believed the prophets. Vs. 27

    B. Agrippa answered, “Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.” Vs. 28

    C. Paul wanted all that heard him to be persuaded to be a Christian. Vs. 29

    D. Agrippa told Festus that Paul could be set free, if he had not appealed to Caesar. Vs. 30-31
